We all love, we all hurt, we all forgive. We are all fighting with our own demons that lay deep within us hoping someday they will set us free. Free from the pain, the deceit, the horrible nightmares that we try so hard to make go away. To be loved is one of life’s greatest feelings we can ever feel and we all long for it. Sometimes we find ourselves wanting to be loved so much that we silently give up who we are in order to make someone else happy and we slowly lose our own self along the way!
Elizabeth (Liz) Loranzo lived a troubled life from the time she was 13 years old. She battled bulling and self-insecurities and her family spent years going through treatments and counseling to help get her through the rough days. Her mom was her number one cheerleader and thousands of times she would tell her how beautiful and special she was.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one is worth many more than that to me. And a thousand smiles and a thousand tears. That's Michael, my only child. It represents all that was and all that will never be. It was taken a few years ago on a really good day. There won't be another one because Michael is dead.
